Bronze for George...
Bronze medal for my student George today at the KLEOS event in High Wycombe; lost his first fight by one point and robbed in the second fight, that's the way it is sometimes, things don't go your way, so a quick dust down and he'll be back on the mats tomorrow night, getting ready for the next competition in October.
Well done George from everyone at Wimbledon BJJ :)
Saturday session...
Thoroughly enjoyable session yesterday, taking in the last dregs of the Summer sun over at Wimbledon BJJ; an extra session to help us prepare for the Street Fighter 2 event in October, lots of hard work rewarded with a few beers in the local Spoons after class...
More hard work to follow tomorrow night :)

Last night's class
Another busy and hard working session with shark tanks for everyone competing and I threw in some good old Catch wrassling moves to mix it up a little, which seemed to go down well, but not so much on the guys I showed the moves on...
Eight years ago...
These two photos came up on my Facebook Wall today, as my student Mitchell and my good self had the honour and privilege of attending a seminar with Catch legend Billy Robinson at Ian Bromley's gym in Stockport, God bless him.
In all the excitement of training with Billy, I'd forgotten my shorts and Mitchell was the only one who had a spare pair and they were way too big for me and every time I stood up after doing a technique the shorts fell down, much to everyone's amusement :)
An awesome and unforgettable day...
