 Lots of Bank Holiday fun last night at SW19 :)

Snake Pit Level 1 Accreditation Course - PASSED!!

 After a very intense five days of being coached and assessed and hundreds of reps later, I am extremely proud to say that I have passed the Snake Pit Level 1 Accreditation Course, alongside my partner in crime Craig Lawson :)

 Big thanks to Gorgeous George for taking the class again, looking forward to getting back on the mats tomorrow night :)

 A very busy class on Monday night, led by Gorgeous George in my absence :)

SW19 CASCA GROSSA SQUAD!

 Another busy Gi session with twenty casca grossas on the mats last night; took the class through a guard passing sequence and combo, which was then tested under pressure with a first to score format for each pair during specifics and of course lots of rolling :)

No Gi next week :)

 Last night gave me immense pleasure in promoting my student Sonny to purple belt, really took him by surprise (video to follow on You Tube)

Sonny's a real asset to the club, is a very fit, strong and technical casca grossa and always gives me a hard time when we roll, so now it's time to step up and SMASH my fren ;)

 A great weekend at the office for the monkeys in both Gi and No Gi, bring back one gold and three silver medals between them :)

 Another great day at the office today for Big Mike, who bagged two silvers today at the BJJ24-7 event in East London :)

 A great day at the office on Saturday for young Erik, who competed at the NEON event in Southampton and came away with a silver in the Gi division and a very well earned gold medal in the No Gi division :)

 I took time out of the Bank Holiday Monday class to film a short video on a neck crank from the half guard position; easy to execute and add into your game, you can hit this crank from a number of other positions, but don't blame me when you lose your training partners!

Bank Holiday BJJ Bonanza!

 What a start to the month at Wimbledon BJJ, with a record number of monkeys on the mats for a proper Bank Holiday BJJ session!

Training in the Gi this week and showed the monkeys a number of options of escaping the mount position and three high percentage chokes from the back, plus a rolling bow and arrow choke for good measure.

Four purple belts, two blues and a grey belt, plus a bunch of hungry blue belts in waiting :)

Had a great time teaching and rolling with everyone, more of the same tomorrow!
