As soon as the lockdown restrictions ease up, I will be running PSP classes in Brixton; the venue is a ten minute walk from Brixton tube and a few buses run from the station and drop off at the top of the street where the venue is.

Both Gary and myself would be very grateful if you could take a few seconds and subscribe to the PSP You Tube channel; as we are wallowing in lockdown, we are busy building up the channel with new videos for you all to enjoy all through the year and I have posted one on here to get things started...

The scissor sweep is my all time favourite two pointer and this slow motion video offering really breaks the sweep down, so you can see all the nuances to the sweep that can be missed when teaching in real time.
As always, please click the subscribe button in the bottom right of the video and enjoy more videos.

Had a great Zoom session last night on Zoom, with fellow martial artists, door supervisors and ex Police officers on the topics of situation and self awareness.
Excellent input and conversation from all involved, these sessions are giving people the soft skills needed in self protection training that is woefully missing in many self defence systems; too many people get sucked into the Hollywood style techniques that simply do not work in a live situation and instructors neglect to educate their students on topics such as awareness and avoidance, the Acute Stress Response, adrenal freeze and much more.
Looking forward to the next session!
Both Gary and myself launched our first Zoom session and the topic was on knife awareness; we had the pleasure of a serving US Police officer in the chat, as well as a doctor, ex military, door supervisors and a few of my students.
Feedback was very positive and everyone had some thing positive to contribute to the discussion; we will be running more Zoom sessions in the future that will give PSP a platform to put across its soft skills that we use in all our classes and seminars.
Huge thanks to Mal Sanchez-Jones for taking the time to interview me last week; it was a lot of fun and a Part 2 will be out in the future, plus I hope you can all understand my accent :)
I get to talk about my early days in the martial arts, my work on the doors, surviving a violent assault and saving my cans of beer in the process and much more...
