After consultations with Combat Base, four students were awarded stripes on their white belts last night - the photo shows my good self with (from left to right) James Cananvan (1 stripe), Phil Walmsley (2 stripes), Leroy Holcroft (2 stripes) and Gaz Price (1 stripe). Well done guys well deserved reward and now all firmly on the jiu jitsu highway!

you belt whip for stripes?
Yeah, we belt whip for any promotion, whether it be a stripe or a belt. I know some clubs don't belt whip for stripes, or even for belts, but we do for both. Just a good crack between the lads, no one gets (seriously) hurt and everyone was back training the next night. Plus, they will eventually get the chance to get there own back (one day.....).
I don't understand what your getting at Owdbum, what's the problem?
Maybe I should of said "we belt whip for any advancement" instead.
