FAIXA PRETA #2!!

 Hot on the heels of promoting my student Gorgeous George to black belt in January, on Sunday I had the huge honour of promoting Submission Scoundrels head coach Chris Petherwick to black belt at his club in Tidworth, in front of a packed house with five black belts in attendance (before Chris made it it six) and just shy of forty people on the day.

Chris is a lifelong martial artist like myself with black belts in other arts and wrestled under the tutelage of Roy Wood back in the day, winning the British championships along the way; Chris has a huge passion for the arts and is an active competitor and inspires his students to compete in Gi and No Gi comps and are making waves on the UK competition scene.

A very well deserved promotion indeed, massive congrats to Chris from myself and all the monkeys at Wimbledon BJJ, Dog House MMA and everyone at Submission Scoundrels; the Northern Monkey Order is three black belts strong, lots more to come :)
