More UK Black Belts!

The UK Brazilian Jiu Jitsu community has gone black belt mad the last few weeks, with a number of very well deserved promotions.  Most of the guys promoted I have known, trained and competed against over the years and am proud to be their friends and to have shared the journey with them.

Braulio Estima held a huge get together yesterday with over 160 on the mats and promoted the following to faixa preta:-

Ebe Ghansah
Neil Simkin
Lee Catling
Rob Stevens
Chris Ress (first black belt in Wales)
Norbi Norbert

A number of people were promoted to purple and brown on the day.

Excellent news to everyone promoted and to the newly minted black belts, the real journey begins :)
